Winner & Honorable Mentions. CHAPTER 17 - Hurrah for the Red, White & Blue

The White Queen gave a deep sigh, and laid her head on Alice's shoulder. `I am so sleepy?' she moaned.
`She's tired, poor thing!' said the Red Queen. `Smooth her hair -- lend her your nightcap -- and sing her a soothing lullaby.'
`I haven't got a nightcap with me,' said Alice, as she tried to obey the first direction: `and I don't know any soothing lullabies."
`I must do it myself, then,' said the Red Queen, and she began:

Hush-a-by lady, in Alice's lap! Till the feast's ready, we've time for a nap: When the feast's over, we'll go to the ball -- Red Queen, and White Queen, and Alice, and all!
-- Chapter 9, Through the Looking Glass and What Alice Found There

Honorable Mentions:
All the entries were wonderful and I loved all of them! I will mention a few until I run out of time.
I hope that those mentioned below will display this blog badge with pride!

I love the inky energy of this entry from Artwolf2009! I especially love the Whtie Rabbit stepping through the alarm clock die cut!

Jacki of Skullduggery entered a great layered card with an edgy Alice image by LillithV, which is quite a different spin on our favorite character! Good job on adding the sewing, that stitched border adds a lot of texture! ;-)

Rebecca of Paper Fun with Bex created a fun flip book. Each page is divided at the neck, so you can combine any character's head with all different bodies!

This charming Alice outfit was crocheted by Rita Ataide of Gil Scrap e Arte! What a great job she did with this little dress and pinafore!

Another entry from Rebecca of Paper Fun with Bex caught my eye - this paper doll ATC comes with a clip for the extra outfits, so you can play with this set as well as admire how cute it is!

Aren't these balloon butterflies fun on this Alice tag from Sylvie of Barnies Baustelle? I love all the layered images and textures, lovely!

The other entries were also fabulous, but I am out of time! Take a look at them here and leave some comments for our talented participants! (Note: if you are viewing this post in a reader or email, please click on the title of the post to go to the blog to see the entries or submit a project.)

The Mad Hatter meets Uncle Sam in this delightful creation from Donna Mundinger of Popsicle Toes!
I love the way Donna changed the price tag, cut with Spellbinders Labels Seventeen, from 10/6 to 7/4 to represent the date of Independence Day, so clever! I love the way the stamped playing card is clipped on with a mini clothespin, and the White Rabbit pointing out the time is perfectly placed under the date! All the stamps, including hearts and Alice, are from the Stampendous Wonderland set.
Amazingly, this hat was all cut from textured white card stock. The color was all sponged on with various Distress Inks!
Donna used Copic markers to color Alice, and she is backed by lovely pleated rosettes that makes me think of fireworks! I love the way she pierced small holes and inserted a little American flag! The checkered tile image stamped on the hat brim is the perfect finishing touch! Be sure to stop by Popsicle Toes to read all the details and leave a comment for Donna!

Amy Bowerman Stucki of Plucking Daisies altered Barbie furniture to create a tea party setting for metal stamped and embossed characters, backed by one of Amy's famous paper bouquets!
The retro Barbie furniture was colored with Ranger Adirondack Alcohol Inks, then miniature playing cards were decoupaged onto the table with Mod Podge.
Miscellaneous ribbon, miniature roses, and bling decorate the chairs!
The characters are from the Stampendous Perfectly Clear Wonderland set, stamped on metal with
Ranger Jet Black Archival ink and heat embossed with Ranger clear detail powder. I love the way she has used the tile floor stamp in the set to make a base for the characters to stand!
This fantastic bouquet of paper flowers was created using papers from Tim Holtz Retro Grunge and Seasonal Paper Stash! Amy is famous for these wonderful paper flowers, you can see many more examples on her blog! Be sure to stop by Plucking Daisies for more details on these projects, and to leave a comment for Amy!

Erin Leveille of Stamp Till U Cramp created this wonderful Independence Day scrapbook layout, just waiting for the perfect photo of her Sweet Pea! I love the way she has scattered the hexagons across the layout, such a great way to integrate a lot of different paper patterns and also to use up scraps!
Erin used the My Favortie Things Hexagons Die and the Stamping Bella Alice stamp from Simon Says Stamp! The papers are October Afternoon, bright and summery! I love the way she altered the stamped image - Alice is holding a large teacup, so she made some cuts around the inside of her hands to tuck the flag  in place. Please visit Erin's blog to get the product links and to leave her a comment!

Barbara Washington of Magic Delights created a wonderful flower shaped shadowbox wall piece! The images are from various TJ Designs stamp sets, including A Walk Through Wonderland, Alice in Wonderland, and Down the Rabbit Hole.  Each petal has a corresponding stamped image to go with the color, with colored roses dividing the panes:

For RED we have the Queen of Hearts and painting the roses red.

For WHITE we have the White Rabbit and the white knight chess piece.

For BLUE we have Alice in her blue dress and the Blue Caterpillar.

Please stop by Barbara's blog for all the details and to leave a comment on this lovely flower!

Tracy Evans (who is also on the Simon Says Stamp design team) created this fabulous art journal spread full of vivid red, white and blue! Be sure to visit Tracy's blog to see all the specific supplies used. She has certainly done a great job with the Dylusions sprays and stencils!

Tracy used the lovely Wonderland set by Stampendous, which was featured here on The Altered Alice a couple months ago.
Tracy used the text of this month's challenge quote. I love the way she spotlighted the red, white and blue references in the passage!

Bonnie McLain of Love Light and Peace created this charming heart album, which opens up to form separate compartments instead of regular pages. The cover was tinted with Dylusions ink sprays, and inside Bonnie has showcased a variety of the six by six inch paper pads, all carried by Simon Says Stamp, including Sweet Nothings by Kaiser Craft, Conservatory by 7 Gypsies, Crush Collection by Bo Bunny.
Some vivid Dylusions Ink Sprays add some pops of color inside as well.
Here we have the RED compartment! Bonnie has showcased a variety of the six by six inch paper pads, all carried by Simon Says Stamp, including  Sweet Nothings by Kaiser Craft, Conservatory by 7 Gypsies, Crush Collection by Bo Bunny.
WHITE is next, looks like they've just started painting those roses! I love the way Bonnie has used each little compartment as a mini stage.
And of course the Caterpillar (and later butterfly) in the BLUE compartment! So charming, be sure to visit Bonnie's blog for all the details and please leave her a comment!

We also have these wonderful crowns from Bonnie, made with metal tape textured with embossing folders and glammed up with glass Dew Drops, adhered with Glossy Accents, all available from Simon Says Stamp. Bonnie has a great tip regarding the Dew Drops, so be sure to stop by her blog. Now a closeup of the crowns:
The RED Queen's crown, with ruby colored Dew Drops and a heart motif on top.
The WHITE Queen's crown, lovely, with diamond colored Dew Drops and lovely snowflakes to represent the white.

And BLUE for Alice, with a lovely blinged up "A" on top! Great job, be sure to stop by Bonnie's blog to leave her a comment on these lovely projects.
