Week 4, CHAPTER 19: Lovely Garden and Bright Flowers

Your Weekly Inspiration

At last, my own [Lynne Phelps of Savvy Sisters Studio] Mad Hatter card which should have been out on Sunday! I was starting to fear this was the post that wouldn't happen. The USB adapter I use to connect the cable to my camera had disappeared. No doubt my two Siamese-mix rescue cats had been using it as a feline hockey puck as I finally found it three rooms away!

I had a fabulous time coloring in this fantastic Mad Hatter image, which I love love love! It is in the style of the Tim Burton movie character, played by Johnny Depp, and I used that as my inspiration. I used Copic markers to color, adding white gel pen under the eyes and clear Stardust Gelly Roll pen on the twinkle lines in the image to make them sparkle!

I wanted a different take on the garden theme. I love the way the movie character had ribbon snippets tacked to his coat pocket, which was the inspiration for the ribbons across the bottom. In keeping with the garden theme, two of them are flowered and one has botanical swirls. Then I used a twig and leaf border punch down the edge to complete the garden theme.
