"`Who cares for you?' said Alice, (she had grown to her full size by this time.) `You're nothing but a pack of cards!'
At this the whole pack rose up into the air, and came flying down upon her: she gave a little scream, half of fright and half of anger, and tried to beat them off, and found herself lying on the bank, with her head in the lap of her sister, who was gently brushing away some dead leaves that had fluttered down from the trees upon her face.
`Wake up, Alice dear!' said her sister; `Why, what a long sleep you've had!'
`Oh, I've had such a curious dream!' said Alice, and she told her sister, as well as she could remember them, all these strange Adventures of hers that you have just been reading about; and when she had finished, her sister kissed her, and said, `It WAS a curious dream, dear, certainly: but now run in to your tea; it's getting late.' So Alice got up and ran off, thinking while she ran, as well she might, what a wonderful dream it had been."
-- Chapter 12, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland
Chapter 27 will be the last regularly scheduled challenge here on The Altered Alice. Due to pressures of work, health, and family activities I am not able to keep up with running the monthly challenges any longer. We will continue to have random challenges, Alice posts and Linky tools so you can show us your Alice and perhaps some blog candy now and then, but it will not be in formally scheduled challenges. Please continue to subscribe and to share your Alice artwork! The last post is still open for you to share old Alice favorites.

Anything goes, so show us your best! We will begin on Mother's day, May 12 and end on Father's Day, June 16. Your last day to submit projects will be Friday, June 14. Multiple entries are encouraged but each must be on a separate post. For our last challenge, only Wonderland projects are allowed!
Design Team Inspiration
Barbara Washington of Magic Delights created a charming Wonderland puzzle! I adore jigsaws, so this project really caught my fancy.
Barbara has been a Stampotique fan for a long time, and has used quite an assortment of Stampotique images both new and from her collection: Alice, Daff, heart flowers, mushroom group, giant shroom and puss puss. I love the stenciled background, what great texture. The "expect the unexpected" is the perfect sentiment for Wonderland. Please visit Magic Delights and leave a comment there for Barbara!
I love this beautiful tag from Bonnie McLain of Love Light and Peace! She has used the sentiment and stack of suitcases from Stampotique.
The tag is the perfect accompaniment to this lovely paper suitcase. . . . and inside:
An Alice in Wonderland tag alphabet set! They are charming and it is so much fun to see what character or image she has used for each letter of the alphabet. To see all 26 tags, visit Love Light and Peace and leave a comment for Bonnie while you are there! It is well worth the visit!
Donna, a.k.a. Meme of Meme's Art Place, created a charming mixed media piece. She has used the same "Enjoy Today" sentiment as Bonnie, and "You give me wings"; both are by artist Maria Sabina Raita.
You can really see the layers and dimension from this angle. I love the gentle whimsy of this creation! Be sure to go to Meme's Art Place and leave a comment for her, and check out her other posts on recent publications in Stampington magazines!
Donna Mundinger of Popsicle Toes has wowed us again with her dimensional magic! She has included her trademark alphabet beads along the top of this frame card. All images are Stampotique by artist Janet Klein (who has also released a Wizard of Oz collection, in case you are a fan), including Mushroom Forest, Alice, Rabbit, Mad Hatter and Catepillar [sic].
You can see all the layers in this angled view. I love the way she has overlapped various die cuts to create depth.
Some closeups. The Mushroom Forest in the background is one of my favorites!
Be sure to stop by Popsicle Toes to read all about this creation and leave a comment for the queen of dimension, Donna Mundinger!
Amy Bowerman of Plucking Daisies hosted a Mother's Day brunch, and wanted to send all the Mums home with a little something. She created these wonderful heart favor bags, and stamped canvas with Stampotique images for the tags and labels!
For a tutorial on how to create this heart-shaped favor bags, visit Plucking Daisies and leave a comment for Amy while you are there!
You have until June 14, 2013, to enter your Wonderland project for a chance at the $30 gift certificate from Stampotique Originals! PLEASE include your name or blog name in the TITLE. This helps me enormously when it comes time to had out the honorable mentions! (Note: if you are viewing this post in a reader or email, please click on the title of the post to go to the blog to see the entries or submit a project.)
Thanks so much for reading The Altered Alice! Please leave a comment before you go.
