"After a time she heard a little pattering of feet in the distance, and she hastily dried her eyes to see what was coming. It was the White Rabbit returning, splendidly dressed, with a pair of white kid gloves in one hand and a large fan in the other: he came trotting along in a great hurry, muttering to himself as he came, `Oh! the Duchess, the Duchess! Oh! won't she be savage if I've kept her waiting!'"-- Chapter 2; Alice's Adventures in WonderlandApril has arrived, which (in the northern hemisphere) brings thoughts of wearing your Sunday springtime best and perhaps donning an Easter bonnet! So we want to you to show us your Sunday best; ruffles, ribbons, lace, frills; however you want to interpret the challenge!
Enter using the Linky Tool below by Friday, April 27. All entries are welcome but Alice in Wonderland entries are encouraged and will receive two chances at the drawing instead of one. Multiple entries are great but each must be on a separate post.
The design team is so excited about showing off the brand new Wonderland Perfectly Clear™ Stamps from our sponsor, Stampendous (Website | Blog). This Alice is all dressed up from her shining shoes to the top of her hat, not to mention her frilly parasol! We will have THREE winners this month, and they will each receive the same Wonderland stamp set the design team is using!
Stampendous made this great blog blinkie for us, grab it if you want! |
Your Weekly Inspiration
Retta Fox of Foxy's Weblog created this wonderful shadowbox scene of Alice looking out the window. I love the way the shutters frame the scene and add depth. Retta has beautifully watercolored Alice and the watch, lovely! The real lace in the background recalls lace curtains, and the tiny ceramic teapot accessorizes the scene perfectly.
Retta also created this fun belated birthday card. I love the strong color with the bold half-doily silhouette!
Tracy also made this lacy card. The background is covered with black lace, and I love the way Tracy has adorned Alice with real lace at her yoke and hem! Absolutely charming! Be sure to visit Tracy to leave her a comment and see lots more photos!
We are also have loads of inspiration from the Stampendous Design Team!
Pam Hornschu of The Pampered Stamper created this lovely altered pocket watch, which even opens! I love the vintage colors and the fabulous texture on the watch. The way Pam has tucked the Cheshire Cat into Alice's arm is so clever!
Wendy Price of Paper, Ink and Smiles created this fabulous layout. I love the bold red and white, and the way she has made Alice into an Ace of Hearts playing card; so appropriate! The White Rabbit holding the corner of the photo is also a great touch! I was on a design team with Wendy many moons ago, and have long admired her amazing talent!
The Stampendous Design Team had previously created these wonderful cards to introduce the set; although not created specifically for this challenge, many still fit the criteria:
Lynn Mercurio |
Wendy Jordan - love the checkerboard background with the Queen of Hearts playing card stamp! |
Jennifer Dove |
Cyndi Bundy |
Suzanne Czosek |

Please leave a comment before you go, they make this effort worthwhile and I love hearing what you have to say.
